Alumni Association Awards
  UT Alumni Association Awards
The UT Alumni Association has four different types of awards to recognize outstanding alumni and individuals that have shown a high level of service to the University. Award recipients are selected by the UT Alumni Association Board of Directors and are presented with their awards at UT's commencement ceremony in either May or December.
Esse Quam Videri Outstanding Alumni Award
This is the highest award that can be given to a graduate of the University. Recipients must be alumni of UT with outstanding service to the University or the UT Alumni Association and outstanding achievements in their chosen career or civic involvement.

Alumni Achievement Award
Recipients must be alumni with outstanding achievements in their chosen career or civic involvements.

Young Alumnus Award
Recipients must be alumni of UT, 35 years of age or younger, show outstanding service to the University or the UT Alumni Association, and demonstrate a high level of achievement in their chosen career or civic involvements.
Service and Recognition Award
Recipients should show high levels of assistance, support and service to the University or the UT Alumni Association. Recipients are NOT alumni of the University.
2017 Award Recipients

Alan Randolph '90 - Alumni Achievement Award

Alan Randolph is a 1990 graduate of The University of Tampa where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance.                               

Mr. Randolph is currently the Florida State President at Bank of the Ozarks where he oversees all deposit and lending operations for the 18 offices in the Tampa Bay market and 44 offices statewide, including the New York City office and Association Services. Randolph previously held positions at C1 Bank as the Senior Vice President/Miami Market Leader and then became Executive Vice President/Senior Lender with C1 Bank prior to the Bank of the Ozarks’ purchase of C1 Bank in July, 2016.  He has over 27 years of banking experience having held leadership roles at Mellon United National Bank and SunTrust Bank.

As a highly engaged member of the University of Tampa community, Mr. Randolph volunteers his time and expertise with multiple areas of campus. He is a member of the UT Board of Fellows and the Sykes College of Business Advisory Board in addition to working with students in the John P. Lowth Entrepreneurship Center.

Mr. Randolph is a member of the Board of Directors for the Bass Museum of Art, where he serves as treasurer, is a Board member for the Humane Society of Miami-Dade, where he chairs the annual “Brunch for the Animals” fundraiser and is an active Board Member and Past Chairman of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce.


Tammy Charles '12, MBA '14 - Young Alumnus Award

Charles graduated from The University of Tampa with a Bachelor of Science in Management in 2012 (magna cum laude), a Master of Business Administration in 2014, and a Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership in 2016.

Tammy is currently the Senior Manager of Corporate Relations at Metropolitan Ministries. Prior to this role she also served Metropolitan Ministries as the Manager of Community Donations.  In addition, Charles founded a consulting start-up in 2016, TMC Consulting, where she will utilize her strategic gifts and passion for local community and international work in Haiti to empower and equip social entrepreneurs and grass roots community leaders locally and internationally to expand their mission and enhance their operations.

As a highly engaged member of the community Charles is an active leader with multiple organizations. She is the Protégé Mentorship Program Liaison of the Tampa Chamber’s Women of Influence Committee, the Chair of the Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay’s Community Outreach Committee, currently the Vice Chair of the board of the YWCA Tampa Bay, and is a 2016 Fellow with the New Leaders Council.

Charles has received numerous awards and accolades including the 2014 President Bill Clinton’s Commitment to Action Award for her work with her startup, Ambrosia Global, LLC, the 2016 Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Up and Comer Award for the Under 30 Category, and she was a finalist for the Tampa Chamber’s Deanne Dewey Roberts Emerging Leader Award in 2016.
