Alumni Legacy Program

The University of Tampa Legacy Program recognizes families for their continued generational support, provides networking opportunities, and helps legacies stay connected through special programs and events. The program builds upon the loyalty, tradition, and Spartan pride among prospective students, current students, and alumni.

 Who is a UT Legacy?

Any student or alumnus/a who has a relative who graduated from UT. As a UT legacy, you are part of a special tradition.

Legacy Scholarship

The National Alumni Association awards up to $10,000 in scholarships to students who are descendants of UT alumni.  For more details on the legacy scholarship go to: ut.edu/alumni/scholarships/

Legacy Events

Each fall before the beginning of New Student Orientation, the UT Alumni Association welcomes new legacy families to campus by inviting them to gather for photo on the steps of Plant Hall. All new legacy students and their alumni connection will also receive a welcome gift from the alumni office. Entering Legacy students in 2012

In the spring graduating legacy students and their families are invited to a special photo session and gathering before the Graduation Reception. At this event we'll take a group photo of our graduating legacy students and present each legacy graduate with a special present to welcome them into the alumni association.

The reception and photo for our legacy students graduating in May 2014 will be on May 9 at 4:30 p.m. in the President's Conference Room on the 9th floor of the Vaughn Center.

How Can I Get Involved in the Legacy Program?

If you are a UT legacy, we encourage you to register so you and your family can be included in this important program.
